A handwoven Beni Ourain rug from Morocco's Middle Atlas, set on undyed ivory wool and worked with a freehand composition of intersecting flatwoven lines in soft sage green — short verticals, long horizontals, and broken crosses arranged like blueprint marks across the field. The pile-and-flatweave contrast gives the linework relief: the sage lines sit slightly recessed into the surface, the ivory pile rising around them. A contemporary interpretation of the Beni Ourain idiom that reads closer to architectural drawing than tribal pattern. Plush hand-knotted pile, lanolin-rich fleece, and hand-tied tassels at the foot.
