A handwoven vintage Azilal rug from Morocco's High Atlas, set on an undyed ivory wool ground and worked with vertical columns of stacked diamonds in pink, coral, saffron, indigo, and emerald — each lozenge a different color combination, threaded together by fine sapling-like vines that run the length of the field. The freehand drawing and unrestrained palette read as the weaver composing in real time, without a fixed template. Plush hand-knotted pile, hand-tied tassels at both ends, and a brightness that lifts a neutral interior without overwhelming it.
