Pitting, Cracking, Edge-Chipping and Other Imperfections
Based on the manual methods of producing our tiles and raw materials used, about 10% to 15% of your order may contain tiles that are pitted, cracked, or grazed edges and contain variations from tile to tile. Should you not want as many tiles containing these imperfections then you should order at least 20% to 30% more tiles to allow your contractor to cherry-pick these imperfections from your order.
Our standard requirements for tile orders, shipping breakage or future replacements is 15% overage. Should your project require a less authentic look without the imperfections, please order 20% to 30% more than what is needed for your project.
